"She gave me a home for a year and a half now, I'd build her an entire new inn for that." In a lot of ways he is doing that, not from the ground up, but from the inside out. After this it'll look brand new and that's the point, to make it shine the way it should. Soon everyone will wish they could live there, but it's the Summoned inn, so only they can. And in exchange he'll shower Mags with all the gifts in the world.
