( her head was in her hands, a frustrated little sound coming from her. oh, how adrienne wished that she was curled up somewhere with a more enjoyable read but she had to study. she'd almost forgotten this part of medical school with how long ago it had been, and whilst she'd done new reading over the years it didn't have the same kind of intensity. but she'd looked into a class, been advised into it after the clinic she'd tried to get a job at had wanted some more guarantees and--
the class hadn't even yet started for her but she'd wanted to try and do some reading in advance, to highlight anything that might be different and now she was even questioning whether she had the right book. she probably didn't have the right book.
but she was a doctor, she knew medicine... even if she'd been shifting specialisms a little over the years and practical work was not the same as what she was reading )
