Istredd prefers to focus on one thing at a time, and since going back to the island was an emotional disaster for him, having a goal like making certain all the bodies have gotten where they need to has been very helpful. He made it clear he was available for assisting in getting the bodies home. Getting them off the island was difficult, and his magic came in handy for keeping the bodies from decomposing.

He's been pointed in the right direction, his bag of holding on his shoulder as it's the most useful when traveling, and he spots a familiar person as he comes into view. That's a great relief. Istredd is terrible at small talk and while he's gotten better, it's a pleasant surprise to be matched up with a friend.

"Claude, good to see you." He takes a close look at the wagon to get familiar with it, and the enchantments are no surprise to him. Istredd knows a few himself, but they seem firmly in place, no problem for their trip. "I suppose we better get going."
