You, actually. The wolf was an unintended bonus though a very welcome one.

[ A second packet of jerky appears as the wolf comes closer as he's at the ready to share, and he opens it to hold out yet another piece for it. At the same time he grins a little for Geralt's benefit - though it's mostly genuine rather than any sign of mischief as it might've been in any other context. Even if he's reversed the order of questions and answers to give, since it is truthful that he was looking for Geralt.

After nudging their jerky forward to share, Claude considers the keep around them again while taking a drink of ale after a murmured thanks for it. Though he hadn't known what to expect from the exterior or the weather outside from those observations and then finally arriving, it feels like it fits what Geralt describes: a place to winter and possibly in a group. A gathering place with a promise to return. ]


All of you travel during the rest of the year, I take it? For the past hundred or so years?

[ He's also not forgotten that revelation about Geralt's age, though he's not yet fully formed a question linking between that and this before them. Not entirely yet, anyway. ]
