He did hear that with the entity they did a spell to drive it back, but it's hard to say if that's why it actually stopped. Istredd would still put it down to it deciding to give up or perhaps the Singularity got involved. The point is, they are quite often at the mercy of the world around them.

Instead everyone seems concerned, but also, helpless. Istredd doesn't like it at all. This is enormously frustrating but he's a realist. Being annoyed won't solve anything.
