Maybe he should stop concentrating on rocks. They didn't exactly help him in Tartarus either. But he couldn't blame his dad for not being able to explain how it worked either. It was probably like asking Percy how he summoned summoned water. He just kind of did. Will knew that even then, with something as simple as breathing, you could break it down, explain how the inhale and exhale worked, but....only if you thought about it. And most people didn't. Especially for someone like Apollo, when it was as simple as existing.

"Yeah, yeah that's a good idea. I can do that." Will shifted, discarding the rock on the bed, in case he wanted to start a rock garden and rummaged through his med pack, drawing out a syringe. He took a few deep breathes, trying to calm his nerves. And then he tried. Will tried to remember the feelings of fear and anger that had brought this up before, trying to hold on to those negative emotions and translate them into something physical, to channel it into the syringe he was holding and not into the general population. Not just unleash it like he had with Nyx.

And then he peered at it. "I don't think this is the common cold."
