The thing is, usually Koby is also up at the crack of dawn, especially lately -- a sandstorm is a dangerous thing, and there are almost definitely people out and about in it who need help. Even with Nadine's shop completely moved, Koby's still made a habit of going out daily to see if anyone had gotten lost in the sand...which meant he was getting lost in the sand on the daily, but whatever.
Now that it's switched to rain, though, now that there's a soft watery sound nearby, like the ocean waves he's so used to, Koby is out like a light. Which means that Will's sudden bellowing voice has him hurtling out of bed, convinced that he's back in the barracks and Helmeppo's let him oversleep again.
The door is flung open to reveal Koby, glasses-less, rumpled, still in his pajamas and panting heavily. He squints at Will for a long moment. Then: "Why are you yelling?"
