The man's apparently better off with his father than Michael is with his own, however. His Father had made it abundantly clear He had no further use for him the last time they were face to face.

Michael gives a nod and a short, affirmative hum. His relationship to his Father is complicated and it's not a topic he likes to talk about either. He gets it.

It's worked to keep him and his brothers from trying to kill each other. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as the saying goes. Maybe it's the same for Zagreus and his father. Michael is certainly relieved not to have his around.
