"If I didn't, I would have a tragic accident happen ... and then see who shows up to my funeral." Jesper and Hilda do put at least some effort into the backstories they made and Jesper's current character is a bit snobby and classy, something he finds hilarious. He is still egotistical enough to probably love the idea of seeing who showed up. They better all look fantastic, or he'd blight the entire lot.

He lets Kaz perch on the arm and takes the drink, letting his other hand reach out to dance fingers playfully over Kaz's shirt. He feels a jolt in his veins when Kaz purrs at him, like always, and smiles, sipping his drink. That's his favorite tone, and he likes how mischievous Kaz looks when his interest is drawn in.

"A fellow called Braxton, more successful but only because we intentionally chose to be less suspicious." If he and Hilda wanted to be famously successful, they could in an instant. They are literal gods, and Jesper's persuasion abilities alone would shoot them up. They chose just enough fame to enjoy their creative pursuits without too much attention.

"I literally laughed in his face which he didn't like, but it is funny how important he thinks himself." Jesper grins. "My guess is he isn't as successful as he's pretending to be if he wants us, his books are probably off."
