[ Nebula's had a skill for tracking for as long as she could remember — The exact details of how or why she'd need those skills hardly mattered. All that did was that she could keep tabs on her people. She knew when something might be going amiss. Most of the time. Even she's not flawless, though she'd never admit it. Not being able to do a certain task - didn't matter how mundane - had always been something that would make her short. Godhood hadn't changed that, some days it made it worse. ]

[ For better or worse, Annabeth was considered her people. Not close people, but one of those adjacent "you're close to someone I care about, so I guess I have to make sure you're still alive" kind of thing. That and sometimes Echoes get sent in her direction even when she has no interest; The other woman's aspect was about the scholarly side of things, building new and fresh designs. Mostly. That's where they crossed paths in the restoration side because sometimes people updated for the sake of it. ]

[ Today's work - year? - wasn't one of those. Otherwise, she would have ignored it, let Annabeth have the little perfectionists wanting good marks with some superior. She had no interest in it. What she did have interest in was that a massive project was underway and the other one wasn't around. The mortals didn't know, would never know, but her Nebula thought she liked the tough tasks. Yet, she wasn't there.]

[ The mortals couldn't reach her, but she could. It takes no time at all to find the other. Even if she does have the right fortitude to wait - ensure the other knows she's there - before folding her arms and offering a tilt of her head: ]

Come on, there's work to be done.

[ No-nonsense and just as direct as ever. Her voice doesn't lack sharpness even if the note of confusion - worry? - is there. And then as much to goad her as it is to prod her into action (asking after, even) she adds: ]

Don't tell me you've gotten lazy.
