[First of all, rude.

Secondly: fascinating.

Alucard knows that the simple explanation means hundreds of hours of testing. Tweaking. Perfecting. He's beyond curious to know the details, and that in time, it will all come out. Hilda doesn't tend to keep the particulars of her work secret, and they've found that they learn from each other in their work even if it is seemingly so far apart.

He nods once, then considers what appearing means. Does he need to focus on shape? Size? The final form?

The question answers itself. A flash of red from his hand catches Alucard's eye, and--

--he scrambles to catch the sword, nearly letting it clatter to the ground. It is by a very small amount of grace that he manages not to. Once in hand, Alucard has the luxury of time to truly consider what Hilda has made.

And it is remarkable. Perfect for any undead, but the sword knows him. The balance is exactly what he needs it to be, and after a few experimental swipes, Alucard stares back at Hilda, wide-eyed, his tone at once grateful and full of wonder.]

This is incredible, and a very good reason to be insulted by a request for simplicity.
