[ Jinora goes into the Horizon less and less these days. She fonds her role - her job - is to protect and help who she can. This has always been the case. She has no memories of her life before now to cling onto and even the earlier memories in this world have long since faded. If she wagered a guess, she only has complete access to the lifetime she lives now. The others, all the reincarnations, feel locked behind visions and dreams. ]
[ She can only be this version of the Avatar — protector of the defenseless and one who urged peace. ]
[ The Horizon - her part in particular - reminds her of just how much she's lost, just how much she doesn't know. It remains the same, the image of the Eastern Air Temple, a fanfare of towers and buildings that stands atop mountains adrift in a sea of clouds. It's beautiful, the surrealism of others barely catching here, and it feels like home. She knows it, because she still remembers what it means to live in these temples. She just doesn't remember the people or why part of her clings so desperately to it. Why following its traditions appears vital to her very being when so many of the other gods have left their lives behind. ]
[ She doesn't want to give it up, but she has a job to do. ]
[ Today, the Air Temple is a convenient meeting place. They sit in the highest tower overlooking the landscape. The clouds are so dense you can't see the forest and meadows below. The setting sun casts a brilliance of colors across the sky. It's moments like it that remind her - tell her - why this place must have been so wonderful to begin with. She swallows it down as she sets a plate of tea and macaroons in front of the older pink-haired woman. ]
If you're hungrier, I have some tofu curry prepared, but my macaroons are pretty famous. [ She thinks someone important made them once, but she doesn't remember. Either way she smiles softly and steps back once on the table before the other woman. Her fingers twist into the orange and red fabric monastic clothing she always wears here as she adds: ]
I feel like there's been a lot more Echoes lately than normal.
[ An opening. Really, though, Jinora maybe it's because you make yourself so available to those that need help that you're hearing a lot of them??? ]
