The amount Istredd indulges all the people in his life is a problem, or it would be if he minded. He's happy to do so, surrounded by friends and family these days. Though he doesn't actually remember the last time he saw some of them. The years can slide by so easily. River and Cassian both visited recently though so he knows they're getting by, albeit not as well as he'd like.

He will check in with the Brotherhood. Perhaps he should have been more concerned with their leadership, for all he knows it has passed hands by now. Organizations have a way of doing that when they're not being watched. He apparently has to be a slightly attentive parent for a few years.

"Fine by your standards or fine by Kyle's standards?" It makes a difference. Kyle is fairly good at keeping them both on track when they can't tell for themselves how it is going. Though Istredd has several people who show up if he's misbehaving. Viktor also has come by recently. Unfortunate. Why must the humans constantly misuse his gifts?*
