[ Eddie has never taken any of this particularly seriously. Sure, he’s been granted an enormous amount of power to do essentially whatever he’d like with, and sure, most people would find some kind of pressure or sense of duty in that. But Eddie remains Eddie, rather flippant, yet kind and generous in his granting of blessings. If he likes a mortal’s personality or the way they approach him, it’s as easy as that. The tiny gifts he receives just make it all the better.

That doesn’t mean he can’t be impressed by her domain, though. He truly does light up as they come upon the waterfalls, a part of this place that he’s never seen before. It’s not very metal, no, but Eddie can still easily hear the music as the water splashes off of the rocks. It’s beautiful and calming, even for someone as loud and fidgety as Eddie, and while it may make her think of it—it reminds him of how she used to be.

Does it? Well, then I’ll tell you what—

[ He hums softly along with the music of the falls as he produces the stone once more. Using one of his claws, he carves a capital E into the smooth surface. ]

I think that because it makes you think of me? This can live here now.

[ He aims carefully and with a flick of his wrist, sends the stone scattering across the surface of the largest pool with tiny chimes, like a mallet striking a xylophone. It skips once, twice, three times, onward and onward until it—so long as at least one of them is counting—it hits thirty-one skips and finally sinks, unable to go any further. ]
