"There is much we can accomplish together," she agrees. While her first instinct is often to work alone, she's learned over time that it isn't a terrible thing to work with others, to forge connections and friendships. Even with as much strength as they all possess on their own, it is far more when combined.

He's right that the demigod population seems to have mostly stabilized. But she would protect this area nonetheless, to keep strays from wandering in or out. She has strength enough for it, even if not always wise.

"I stay close to these woods," she offers. "They remind me of a place long ago, though I cannot recall it in detail anymore." She wonders if he's ever felt that, or anyone else. Memories that feel both real and not, or so far away they might only be dreams. "You should be careful when you come here, Istredd. Do not do so alone."
