This isn't the first time Wilhelm has ventured to bridge the chasm between them. The timing never lines up right — there's always something knocking it crooked, their moods and powers bouncing off of each other at all the wrong angles. The last time he set foot in her domain, Serenity did not come down from the stars at all. So this, he thinks, is a step forward out of the labyrinth they've made for themselves.
In response to her compliment, he ruffles his wings and the shadows spool out around him like gauze.
"Thanks. I like your stars." He nods to the strings of soft light wreathing her. Still cradling the frog, he folds himself down onto a stone that juts into the pool. "Do you...want to sit with me?"
