Well, that's kind of it. [ He murmurs, his expression grim. This doesn't bode well. A hunter's keen intelligence is still something they ought to be careful of, especially if it's hunting among mortals. Gods are hardier than mortals to be sure, but there's not so great a gap in their intelligence as some might believe.

There's a faint despairing cry from deeper in the wood, as if on queue. ]


Might be a trick. [ He's only voicing what he assumes they're both thinking, but if there's any chance that the mortal is still alive they have little choice but to take the bait. Between them, Sylvain has the sharper ears and better nose, and the stealthier presence by far. ] If it doesn't have a scent, the human will. After them — I'll watch your back.

[ The mote of levin settles back on the tip of his staff, providing a quick pulsing light. It'll be a beacon in the darker depths of the wood, for better or worse, but it should be that much easier to draw any attention away from Sylvain while he hunts for the mortal. ]
