The demigod rears up to try to avoid the initial sword swing at its legs, sending Nanaue rolling backwards onto its back. Somehow he manages to hold on as it thrashes again, focusing on Zagreus' second attack, looking like a tiny rider on a very, very large mount.

Nanaue is not a warrior of finesse. He does what he does best - opens his maw and starts tearing into the shadowy flesh around its long spine. The taste is foul, even to a being that eats whatever happens to get too close to its mouth, but this doesn't deter his mouth-first attacks.
