If Wrench called her on it, she would have to think on those things she tries never to dwell on. The things that are buried so deep that only when she decides to sleep for the hell of it, does she remember them as confusing dreams.

Guardian of the Condemned, which is wonderfully dramatic of them. I love the things mortals come up with. And you know they only do it when you've truly made an impression.

She doesn't mean to make light, and she settles back into something more serious. You're there for the forsaken, for better or worse, yes?
