[ The moment that Steve wrenches Odin from Sleipnir's back, Cid rushes forward to grab hold of the egi, channeling a bolt of the heavens' own judgement from the clouds above. The horse staggers, finally falling now that it's separated from its maker, though it doesn't dissipate the way a normal egi would. Cid can only hope it will stay down long enough for them to finish what they've started.
He trusts Steve to handle himself with Odin, despite the danger, and when he turns he can see he was right to do so — Steve is in fine form as always, fighting Odin or control of his sword. There's just one problem: the sword is fused with his hand. Cid hadn't gotten close enough to see it before now.
Just as he's about to move again, there's an ominous creak from above. The house that Cid had previously jumped from begins to shift apart, the entire upper floor sliding precariously forward in an instant, all of that crumbling concrete hanging over Steve and Odin below.

Cid swears under his breath, darting forward just as the building tips to crush them. He grabs Steve, teleporting just clear of the wreckage in an instant flash of levin. The sword doesn't come with them. Though the building falls on Odin as he begins to stand, even that parts like the sea before his blade. They have seconds.
He lets Steve go with a firm pat on the shoulder. ] Plan B.
