Istredd knows Lucifer's been trapped and held back for so long, it's what led to the situation with Jack and Sabine in the first place, and all of his turmoil long before that. Being stuck in a body not his, a human masquerade over what was so much more than that.

He can feel Lucifer's contentment and freedom soaking in through their connection and smiles, taking one of Lucifer's claws into his hand. He lifts it to his mouth to kiss tenderly. It's in that moment that it's all forgiven, because what drove Lucifer to act desperately, what pulled him away from Istredd, it's no longer relevant. He's his full archangel self and settled in.

"Yennefer won't appreciate being thanked for beating someone up, but you should anyway." Istredd doesn't need to be a mind reader to pick up on that idea. "I have something to show you."

He hasn't been idle. Power continues to grow in all of them and Lucifer's form isn't the only one that can alter. He focuses and two wings sprout from his back, similar to Lucifer's own. Not any more than the two though, since his intentions are to go flying with the dragons and keep it simple. He's been practicing.
