Though he understands that he hasn't been terribly forthcoming about his involvement with the bunker, it does seem like he expects his employees (such as they are) to lend a hand when it comes to the upkeep. Some of this includes sending them on their own tasks, some of it involves fixes best done with two sets of hands, and some of it involves an amount of hovering and providing instruction.
