Istredd is currently deep within the Thorne aspect of it, given that he left the dungeon only to make a plan to meet with Mace as soon as he was less suspect. He needs to get a foothold into the new power dynamic as soon as possible. It is one of the reasons he avoided going to Nott to see Yennefer. Better to do it here outside of their gaze. ]
