Jesper is definitely a swiss army knife of combat and sneakery. There is a reason that Kaz Brekker dragged him out of the gutter and turned him into his second, their gang eventually the one that took over the entire city. He may not be a Saint, but he uses Durast abilities in a way no one else has, in a way the Ravkan army wouldn't even consider because they were so set in their ways. It comes in handy in situations like this.

Jesper's aim is perfect and he bleeds a little of the metal into their skin so it won't fall off while they're crashed on the ground. They don't want it to come off. It'll be able to be yoinked off though, it just might take a little skin with it. Whoops! It is what it is, at least they're going to be alive.

He watches Steve fight and it reminds him of Inej who was very graceful and able to take down many people without much effort. Jesper knows he doesn't need to lift a hand once their mouths are covered, this is probably a cakewalk for someone like Steve.

"Yeah no problem." He throws a piece of metal back to where the man was, not having to look to do it. He remembers where he is. It also looks cool when he does things so casually, in his opinion. Jesper checks to see if the door is locked which he could get through but it's not since this was what they were all defending in the first place.

"I'm going to trust you know this stuff, because honestly it's still all nonsense to me." Steve might have been time caught, but he's still been in the 'modern' world and Jesper's never been in an advanced timeline. His technology is similar to Cadens' so this is over his head a little bit. See, that's one thing he's not good at.
