I didn't have any abilities or magic in my own world, so I don't know exactly how it works, only that others have said it happened to them for about a week. I suspect it's because the Singularity is providing the powers people have now, not whatever it might have been before arrival.

[ Whether it was innate in Daisy or like the young woman she met in Nocwich, she's connected to a magical object that provides her abilities. ] The Singularity is the source of everything magic, and when your regain your abilities, you'll have a forced connection. At least, that's what I've gleaned in my time here. My connection came over time, as I grew stronger.

[ She brings the jars over to the table so that Daisy can see them, pointing at each one. ]

This is white willow, turmeric, and St John's Wort. I brew it into a black tea with a bit of honey. It's not as strong as Tylenol, but it will take the edge off. I have a strain of marijuana higher in CBD that might help, but not everyone enjoys those side effects.
