( whether james was in this new world or back home in silent hill, there was a pull within his mind and soul that made him seek her. he had arrived a few days before to the free cities, lost and disoriented like anyone else but despite that he had a clear goal in mind. to find his mary, his precious wife and in that search, he eventually found what was expected of him here, others who had been to the horizon, and how truly trapped he was despite his wishes.
it seemed that no matter how far he was from that special place, he was always forced into events and circumstances beyond his control. he was by no means the surly man he used to be, in fact he had become much more agreeable as of late, but this situation did put him into a distressing predicament. he was truly for the first time in his life afraid, lost, and unsure of what to really do with himself. so much like his designation, he withdrew into himself but eventually an opportunity presented itself.
in what seemed like a transformative and nearly catatonic journey, he found himself in this strange place with no idea of who he was or where he had come from. the memories he held onto for so long were far from him and all that remained to show him a trace of who he might be was a set of clothes, with his sign decorated across the back of a jacket he had on. when crane had found him, he was walking through a thick fog with a confused expression on his face and like a deer in headlights, he rose from the fog remaining silent at his question.
he remained like this for a moment before he turned around to look at his surroundings. even though he couldn't quite recall much, he still had that instinct to make sure he wasn't about to be attacked or worse- killed. when he felt secure, he finally spoke. )
Sure....I don't think we've met before? Or have we?
