"I do hope they're right about that," Thancred responds, but he doesn't sound entirely convinced. Given that the Singularity has never done anything like this in recorded history, they can't make any assumptions about what the future may or may not hold. While he would like to believe that the Nether is distant enough that the people here wouldn't be swallowed up, no one can be certain of that.

Thancred's taken aback by Aster's comment about the vision of the future. Someone was bold enough to mention that to an Abraxan native? Perhaps it doesn't do any harm, it's not like Thancred puts much weight behind those events, but still, it's quite a show of trust to speak of it.

"I don't know what to make of it myself, if I'm honest." But he reaches out to take the small token, understanding its importance as Aster explains. "Events that have occurred since then have already defied what we saw, but... well, that's neither here nor there for now, I suppose. Thank you for this. I will not use it frivolously."

Before he can say aught else, there's a tug on the fishing line.
