( when castle thorne had first been described to rowena it had almost seemed like a dream, such a large collection of magic, open for the perusal and something she would have loved to get her hands on. whilst her views of the mages were questionable, and perhaps aspects of the whole thing should remind her of the grand coven, the fact that such knowledge had been locked away from her had made it all the more desirable.
and now she was there.
it helped to not think of her fears, to try and delve into the knowledge that the place held. so finding rowena in the library throughout the month is a solid bet, either at a table browsing a book (with several others by her), looking through the vast stacks or perhaps even asking someone to hand her a book from a shelf out of her reach.
there's even the possibility of seeing her casting a spell. a new piece of magic, one at least that interests her, is one she spends her time studying, unpicking it, and finding her familiarity with it before attempting to cast it. for all rowena can do there are small, simple things that she's never practised before, such as conjuring a small orb of light, faint at first, quickly dismissed, but it has her thinking of how to use it elsewhere )
