The "bear" comically adjusts its hat with one large paw. Its expressions are unreadable unless Istredd happens to speak bear; despite the misplaced hat it looks very common in the woods around Solvunn.

"You have friends who want to stay the same?" The voices break through the static in the rock. The bear's face is as quizzical as a bear can be. "That's what you're really asking, right? 'Do I have to'?"

The bear leans forward, placing both paws on the ground.

"That's not you, is it?"
