"He's fine, we made a camp. There are a few others here, we grouped up."

Jesper doesn't know how many more people are out there, only that they did manage to cling together when they scouted out. He's made it his business to go searching, having always been good at that, but at least finding Mat will take some of his active terror out of it.

He pulls Mat to him and into a hug, burrowing his face into Mat's hair for a moment, breathing him in, relieved. He let go of his hand for just a few seconds and it was the worst experience of his life, those few seconds having been enough to separate them.

"I am not letting you out of my sight ever again, do you hear me?" He pulls back and cups Mat's face, kissing him firmly. "I love you."
