Jesper feels like he can finally breathe again. He lost Mat in his sightline for one minute and then he almost got eaten by a plant! That'll teach him. He kisses Mat quickly and firmly. They don't have a lot of time to waste, but he still feels like it needs to happen. He's just relieved.

"That's right, I am going to live in your pocket at all times." He presses their foreheads together and then releases him, glancing around them. Just because he knows the way doesn't mean this place is any safer. Sharp gray eyes look out for any more vines and he takes Mat's hand, intending on not dropping it now they're together, not for anything.

"Come on, I know the way back." They can get back to the others. Jesper's very cautious as they walk in that direction, looking everywhere for danger. He's never lost his edge as a fighter first. "No one knows where we are yet."
