He wraps his arms around Jesper, rubbing his back reassuringly. He's safe, it's all right. After the pounding stress of the past several hours, it's nice to be held so securely. For a short moment, he feels still.
"I'm okay," he insists, squeezing his friend's hand back. Worry then clouds his expression, and he looks back over his shoulder. "Iris is waiting for me. I left to try to find some food, I thought he'd be safer staying where we were. His leg is hurt, he's having trouble walking."
Wilhelm has been carrying him since they were thrown into the forest, so their trek has been slow.
