It's shocking, really, how quickly everything withers. How soon there's nothing left behind when it feels like it goes in a mere blink or two after leaves shrivel, plants slump to the ground, vines crumble to leave a rather sorry state compared to what they'd walked into. Unknowingly he shares that same feeling of dismay though he can guess Wilhelm's thinking the same when he looks over after standing up.

"I wish I knew the answer to that," Claude says with a half-smile that's rather weak since... well, there's about 0% reassurance he can offer there as he follows after Wilhelm with one more glance to what they're leaving behind. "This is definitely better than nothing and it's a good start until we can figure out where to go from here. Might be worth keeping an eye out as we go to see if we happen across any other gardens now that we know to be a bit faster."

Into the trees once more it is as he falls into step besides Wilhelm and studies him for a second before looking back out ahead to keep an eye for anything which might be headed their way. "Did you make it here with everyone you hoped to see? Not that we knew this would be a reunion aside from being back at the Singularity before, well, we ended up here."
