That doubles when the tremors hit, and all hell breaks loose. Hell has broken loose before, to varying degrees, but something about this is different. They've known. She's had more than one conversation about the Singularity and the state of the world, none of them terribly positive. This is what it's been building to, this is what's been coming.
She wastes no time in jumping to action. Wherever she may be needed, she'll be there, doctor's bag on her shoulder and spells at the ready. This world has become her home. This place, the life she's found here, has given her everything she'd ever been promised and denied, again and again. It chews cud and says 'moo'. But there's a vague sort of quality to it, as though it's not quite finished. Almost like a cow from a painted play backdrop. The eyes want to slide over it, refuse to focus properly.
