Jesper is at peace about moving on here rather than going back. It helps that there was no door open to his world as far as he could tell, but he guesses that Nikolai and Zoya would likely volunteer for their own people so it'd work out. Either way, this is his home now after three years and a hell of a lot of adventures, both good and bad. And they have a future, one he wants. All he can do is hope that Viktor gets the same.
