[ For a moment, Amos' face is blank. Sam warns him about Goro trying to provoke him, and his mindset shifts, from actionable to sheer nothingness. Don't kill without cause, then.

And when that registers in his mind, Amos huffs out a soft laugh. He reaches for his beer bottle again, giving its bottom edge a little spin on the counter as he fiddles with the neck. ]

Ah, hell, Wings. I'm not some kinda maniac. I ain't letting him throw any first punches, but if I gotta hit him, there's gonna be a damned good reason. [ And with that, he takes a drink. The feel of the liquid, the flavour of it is all kinda muted, like he isn't fully back in the immersion yet, but it's something. A damned good reason, like if Goro's already in the process of burning down an orphanage or whatever it is this guy does. ] I can take people saying stupid shit at me. That's the thing about it. [ And making sure kids don't have to live in a war zone means plenty, so. Yeah. Broken as he is, he's still got a decent set of priorities.

He looks back over at Geralt when he speaks up. Sam's who Amos should probably be following. Geralt's someone who gets him. It's a good combination to have for him. So he nods. ]

Yeah. I don't know what these people are fighting over. Don't really care. 's not my business.

[ It's really not. And he has the potential to be a destructive force, so that only amplifies how much he doesn't want to get involved.

But. The way Sam thanks him. That does bring Amos pause, really absorbing the words, the tone; Geralt's silent endorsement of the sentiment. ]
