He does so enough to notice Yennefer's quite eye-catching presence, the way she holds herself with her shoulders straight and her chin lifted, the way that she commands attention simply by how she moves through an area.
It's a stark contract to back at the castle, where he'd heard plenty about her, from her striking looks to her powerful magicks, but had seen hide nor hair of her. Here it's almost as if she's making up for that, or mayhap it's that she would rather the other factions didn't notice anything amiss about her. Thancred's someone who's put on enough fronts and disguises to have a guess at what's going on here, even if he can only see the edges of the full picture.
He is a little surprised to find her in the neutral section at all, as she'd seemed so intent on making her link to Thorne so clear. More than that, at least some of that mask has fallen off her face as she continues watching the door, as if waiting for someone to enter.
