[It's...a pretty odd question in the face of having just been told she's likely been consuming human bones. Or should be, for someone who hadn't grown up in a situation where every last part of the people who existed within the Tomb's dank radius had always been lovingly recycled. When you're occupying a hunk of rock in space that was never really meant for sustaining any kind of life, you make do with what you have to hand.]
Yeeeaahhh. I get that reaction a lot. Even the other Houses all kinda looked at us like we were walking wraiths who'd prey on their bones in the night if they left themselves unguarded, you know? But maybe we deserved it.
[She makes an 'oh well' kind of face, before beginning to move toward the exit, assuming that Alucard has had quite enough of dubious meals in cans by now. She keeps talking, as though him joining her is an obvious given.]
And I can't say I took a great interest in fertilisation practices, that shit's dull as all hell. Buuuuut, let's say I doubt it was just bonemeal going in there. Other parts of the dead were probably used too. Or you know...bodily secretions...yuck. I doubt the sandy dirt of the Ninth was up to sustaining life on its own, or there'd have been something growing there when the ancestor's first set the place up.
