[ Jesper's getting decent at a blade thanks to Sephiroth but he isn't fighting to even his highest standard of possibility. He doesn't know yet if his powers are the kind of thing that he could use to his advantage, the way bullets are, but he's not likely to test it out. ]

Listen, I do know the love of a good fight, I know how amazing the adrenaline feels when your back is to the wall and all you can do is act. It's brilliant.

[ And he's not talking about their sparring, he's talking about his guns, he's talking about being in the middle of a fight with his pistols, spinning and shooting, at peace when everything is madness around him. Jesper loves it, he never feels more alive, that is the truth. Adrenaline is one of the things he's addicted to, so he has to temper himself, as much as he can. ]

But it can't be the only thing you enjoy. It's not a violent enough world for that. You can be better at many things, not just fighting.
