He might be curious enough to start a conversation, but he's not going to make friends with someone who one of his actual friends dislikes. Julie is the person he's felt has the clearest mind when it comes to talking about this place, she bluntly put everything out in front of him when he first arrived.

And he would put Geralt's opinion right behind hers, close to it, because he too talked some sense into Jesper and kept him from running out to make coin. Jesper is used to other people being in charge of him, it's difficult learning how to be an individual instead of a gang again.
