Viktor isn't great with details when it comes to people. I'd love to hear about the project from you if you feel like sharing.
[ Viktor gave him a sentence or two about the people he knew so anything filled in Jayce will have to get himself. It still is more than usual, his friend actively isolated himself, especially in the past few years, so him having made all these connections on his own is really something. ]
Oh of course.
[ He takes the books and makes a space for them in Viktor's area, they both have their own types of organized chaos in their space. Jayce has more physical tools and objects like gears and magnifying glass. He takes a curious look at the titles of the books but sets them down without looking through it as he normally would. It's impolite and for Viktor's eyes first, whatever it is.
Jayce is an open book. He talks without hesitation, shares without giving much thought to it, most of his feelings right there on his face. Forthright is a good word for it. ]
I did get that sense when I was at the academy, it's not that different in Piltover. The reason my research was secret for a long time was because magic was this wild unknowable thing, a little on the taboo side. Our inventions really are just technology with an arcane energy source to power them. I appreciate the warning though, I have a tendency to jump the gun.
[ And arguably people could call that electricity if it made them uncomfortable to say magic. New Magic seems similar here, so he gets it, but it was a nice caution to give. Jayce has an instinct to just throw himself into things head first and that almost got him exiled, so really, being careful is something he has to remind himself of. ]
Have you been to our Horizon yet? You should ask Viktor to show you his Hexclaw, it's very impressive.
[ He and Viktor share the Horizon space now, Jayce merely built his sections attached to the ones Viktor already made. ]
