Jayce doesn't mind formality in theory but he's just trying to get away from who he was before. If she called him Mr. Talis again he wouldn't correct her from there, it's his name either way. "Showing up here ... are you a Summoned too?" He is jumping to conclusions but showing up is a term that means a surprise, not intentionally moving, and if she had to recreate a collection, it meant she lost it.

He taps his arcana symbol at his collar. "A new arrival myself." Very new, as in only a few weeks. Jayce finds the whole concept of the Summoned and the Singularity fascinating. At first he hated it and fought loudly for them to let him go home, but his tune has changed drastically since then. "I'll have to check to make sure we have bone for the handle. If we do I can have it done by tomorrow, if we don't it might take a few days to get it."
