Jesper has plans for him and Inej, and probably everyone else too, but they're not very good plans. That's not his thing, that is Kaz's thing. But he feels like he's surrounded by people who are good at it, if it's not Sam, it's Geralt or Nadine, good heads on their shoulders. And he's happy to be the plucky sidekick or comic relief in any given situation. He suspects Mat's similar.

For Jesper, most people saw things about his mother, and while that was always painful, it wasn't bad painful. He's finally able to think about her now without feeling weird about it. The Wylan parts were harder.

He settles them both into a nice couch sort of thing on the porch and smiles faintly. It's always funny when Mat or Julie do things that makes him think of himself. He's been saying from the start the Wheels are similar, and he knows grandiose over-confidence that's not fully meant when he hears it. "As someone who seeks your joy regularly, I appreciate that. I know I'm not the only one. Oh hey!"

Jesper glances over at him. "That pretty boy of yours you told me about from early on, is he here? I want to meet him."
