Okay, so then I guess a good clarification would be, what exactly do you mean when you say it's gettin' "exponentially faster"? Are we talkin' like... an inch a year? A decade? A century? A thousand years? Things move. Glaciers slide, plate shift, how do we know this is actually a problem, versus the Singularity just doin' what it's supposed to?

[ It's not asked combatively. Julie's ire seems to be reserved for Goro specifically. She's calling on high school science class knowledge, magazine articles about global warming and climate change. This isn't a subject that she claims to be an expert in, but she knows enough to ask questions. With a thoughtful squint, she tilts her head to one side. ]

And do we know what's under the Singularity, or how far down it actually goes? Maybe it's a symptom, 'stead of a cause.
