So they don't want Singularity for themselves, but would rather have it destroyed than let Thorne harness its power. This is stupid and short-sighted, and I don't know which is worse.

[Kell has a very personal interest in Singularity. As things stand now, anyone actively trying to harm it automatically looses any good will he might have had for them. The summit just brings him tournament flashbacks. What was on paper intended to foster good relations, in reality was used as an occasion for a show of force by every single country taking part. Including his own. Especially his own, since they were organizing.]

I'm guessing that summit didn't go very well.

[There would be no talk of war if things went smoothly.]
