Sam is one of the people in Cadens that Inej is closest to. He'd quickly pushed himself into a position of important to her when he hadn't turned her away when she just... needed some direction. She was still floating between directionless and a new purpose, but it was getting better. There was solid ground underneath her feet in this place now, and it's in part thanks to Sam. So, it's only natural for her to be here among the crowd that had pushed its way into Sam's Horizon home.
She weaves through the sea of them like a shadow, to no real intent, it's just... habit at this point. The way she lived for the last three years is now so deeply ingrained into her bones that she can't stop it. In Inej's personal experience, it's better to not be noticed, anyway.
She's just listening. Picking up bits and parts and pieces of people's conversations with each other. Checking the temperature of the room among them after Sam's speech. But even Wraiths need to step away sometimes.
She wanders outside, tilting her head back into the sunlight for a moment until she's had her fill. She sees... someone at the end of the dock and can't help but be drawn to him. It's only when she gets closer that she realizes she recognizes him. "Hello, Angel." she says in greeting, and there's nothing teasing or jokey about using the term as a title. It's genuine. It's... just this side of reverent. She still can't quite wrap her mind around it, any more than she'd been able to reconcile the girl that had introduced herself as Aleksandra being, in fact, Sankta Alina. Inej doesn't hate being surrounded by the Divine.
