[ Even with Jesper's deeper explanation, Thancred would need to see one of these story recordings himself to truly understand. They could simply power the machine on, but now that Jesper's gotten going it seems like there's a great deal more for them to discuss beyond new sorts of entertainment.

Speaking of which, Jesper continues on with his flirtatious behavior despite the fact that they're no longer sharing a bath. Thancred isn't at all surprised by this, and simply nods in acknowledgment. Yes, he is handsome, isn't he? He winks back.
