He's the type that'll stick around just to piss us off more.

[ But that's the only thing she says. She is fairly sure that she would be able to force Goro out in her own domain, since she knows for a fact that she's capable of locking people out, but she doesn't know if she can do it in Sam's domain. She doesn't know if that's what he'd want. She makes a mental note to ask Steven if he knows anything about Goro, when she's back in her own space.

Julie doesn't claim to be a political expert by any means, and certainly not an expert on Abraxan politics. But in the government of the Free Cities, she sees many echoes of the system she grew up with, had to study in school. A collection of separate "states" and all. It's easy to move pieces into their places, easy in a way that learning about the crown in Thorne had not been. Military, inventions, elections, campaigning. It matches enough to make her feel like she truly understands at least the basics. ]

I actually think they probably do know how to destroy it. I mean, it can't be that hard, and they wouldn't need to get that close. What I think they don't know is what'll come after, and that scares 'em. Which is smart, it should scare 'em. Where I'm from, they didn't get scared enough.

[ The government had known, known what they'd made. Even if it hadn't gotten loose on its own, even if they had first deployed it in Afghanistan or Syria or whatever, they knew how contagious it was. Captain Trips would have wiped out the human race no matter how they used it, no matter who they used it on. It would never have been possible to keep it truly contained. The government knew and they made it anyway.

Luckily, the Prime Minister and whoever works under her seem to be a bit smarter than the US military and government. ]

That's all anyone ever wants. [ She scoffs a little, rolls her eyes. ] Power and money. The problem is that they're basically fightin' over who gets to be in charge of God, and they ain't botherin' to ask how God feels about that. Could do with a little Sodom and Gomorrah to get themselves straight.
