[ Jesper hums a sound of agreement about Goro, he probably is sticking around to annoy everyone, and/or see if there is anyone who showed up he can poke at to get on his side. It seems unlikely. He suspects most people who would agree with him wouldn't show up here. The conversation afterward seemed a lot more pointed at what to do about the Singularity, apparently it's going to suck the world into it or something, definitely over Jesper's paygrade so he listened but didn't say anything. ]

You really think it would be easy to destroy it? Maybe it just seems like this nebulous untouchable super powerful thing from afar to me.

[ Jesper mostly respects things he doesn't understand by keeping away from them. The Singularity reminds him of the Fold. He never saw the Fold himself, but he's heard the stories. It also had a habit of sucking in everything else into it, and destroying more, spreading darkness. It's more of a fairy tale story to him, this incredibly dangerous place that destroyed Ravka for a long time, while he was safe off in Kerch and Ketterdam. ]

At least power and money stay consistent across worlds, I suppose. It's all any of us wanted too, in Ketterdam. Power and money mean you live longer. I really wanted to survive at least another decade.

[ Jesper loves life, he is not someone who squanders it, he enjoys every second that he's breathing. He's grateful for life and all the beautiful things it comes with, even when it's hard, even when it's dark. He didn't have to live in Ketterdam where every day was a struggle though, he could have stayed on the farm, but that wasn't much of a life. Boring. Lethargic. Always the same. Money has always been his sole goal, and it's the same here, just not the only goal.

He scrunches of his face and glances over at her.]

You think we can ask the Singularity what it feels? Is it even a conscious living being?

[ It's not that he doubts her, Julie is smart as a whip, if she thinks so, she might be right. Again it's one of those approaches where it all seems so big to him. The Singularity isn't a person. What in the world could it be? ]
