For as much of a brute as Goro appears to beβ€”muscling his arguments for fights and general aggressionβ€”Wanda has to admit that it continues to catch her by surprise how much he is not just that. Appearance is an unfair point to measure an individual's worth, but she would be fraught to admit that (topic aside) her conversations with him are one of the more engaging.

What does that say about her? Facts are, he doesn't talk down to her; treats her as an equal. Respects her.

As he folds his arms over his chest, Wanda's gaze lowers in a sigh. A few years ago, she would have agreed entirely with how Goro posits their situation. The privilege of the powerful to decide. She has changed from those days when she fought for Sokovia, but though she has power, she feels utterly helpless.

She feels his eyes on her. She does not lift her head to meet them.

"That's a lot of responsibility," with this, she scrunches her nose just lightly, her brows furrowing. "I wish things were that simple."

Power, the powerful, universal constants. Unlike Goro, she is tired, exhausted from loss, contemplating cowardly enough paths as removing herself entirely from the reality of the world.

"Before, a powerful being saw me and my brother as what humans should be. He was going to help us save our country, but," a shake of her head. "Power corrupts, Goro."
